The Platform Engineering team at Lime is responsible for enabling software engineers to build, test and deploy Lime products globally at scale through resilient, cost effective and secure infrastructure, and high-quality developer and data science tooling.

Compensation Range: CA$172K - CA$237K

What You’ll Do
- Identify, define, and solve strategically essential technical problems, including architecting and building highly scalable foundational platforms, leading new product initiatives, and revamping existing core application experiences.
- Implement and manage security controls to ensure compliance with SOX and other relevant regulations
- Mentor and lead other engineers at Lime. Identify and develop future leaders.
- Support audits and due diligence processes related to infrastructure
- Advise Lime’s leadership team on key technology adoption and process improvements.
- Contribute to shaping the overall engineering culture at the company.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation, responding to incidents, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to root cause analysis and service reliability improvements.
- Respond to and troubleshoot production issues, outages, and critical alerts during assigned on-call shifts.
- Escalate incidents as needed and collaborate with team members to restore service.
- Document issues and contribute to improvements that reduce recurring incidents.
- Be available to provide occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday support while on call.
- 7+ years of industry professional software development experience and a track record of building impactful products or systems.
- Skilled at writing logical and maintainable code, and providing clear feedback in code reviews.
- Owner’s mindset. You’re a self-starter and get things across the finish line.
- Strong influencer. You motivate and empower your team to go above and beyond.
- Technical proficiency to understand and contribute to the design and implementation of projects and ideas.
- Excellent communication and effective prioritization skills in working with competing priorities.
- Ability to participate in a shared on-call rotation supporting production systems, including occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage, with responsibility for responding to critical alerts, coordinating escalations to restore service, and documenting issues to help prevent recurrence.
- Experience in a pre-IPO or public company environment is a plus
- Operating Ruby on Rails in a cloud environment for 2+ years is a plus
