PHP Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PHP Engineer based in Portugal. Join a fully remote engineering team working on a mature internal platform that supports the creation and publication of intelligence content. You’ll help maintain and modernize a production Laravel application while contributing across both backend and frontend technologies. The role combines hands-on development with opportunities to improve testing, observability, tooling, and deployment practices. You’ll play an important part in gradually moving an established system toward a modern cloud platform. With significant autonomy, you’ll have the opportunity to make thoughtful improvements while keeping a dependable production environment running smoothly. You’ll collaborate closely with platform and DevOps specialists as well as distributed colleagues across multiple regions. This role is well suited to a pragmatic, full-stack-minded engineer who values quality, ownership, and methodical modernization.
