• The minimum gross monthly base salary for this position for a medior is from € 2,600 and for a senior from € 3,300. The final offer could be higher to reflect the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable bonus payment. Capco is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation to our people. Our compensation policies are designed to allow our people to progress through our defined salary range over time as they progress in their role.

Role Description

• Build tailored Java SE/EE and Spring Boot solutions that keep modern banks running smoothly
• Write and run thorough unit tests to ensure your code is rock solid and reliable
• Share your knowledge and offer practical guidance on implementing best practices
• Own key configuration tasks that ensure our solutions are optimized, stable, and aligned with client needs
• Analyze change requests and defects, and turn them into opportunities to make the system better and more efficient
• This is a long-term opportunity and is not tied to a specific project. Successful candidates will be considered for multiple current and future project opportunities based on their skills and experience

Skills and Expertise

• Hands-on experience developing RESTful API microservices using Java, Spring, Maven and OpenAPI 3
• Strong understanding of core Java concepts
• Solid understanding of Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Data (JPA/Hibernate), and Spring Security (OAuth 2.0)
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle
• Understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles
• Knowledge of fundamental algorithms and data structures
• Familiarity with asynchronous messaging systems (e.g. Kafka)
• Experience in the digital industry, ideally within banking, insurance, financial services, or management consulting
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is highly valued
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to quickly understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Front-end development experience with frameworks such as Angular or React is highly valued
