Full Stack Developer

## About the Role

Brillio is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale customer-facing technology platforms. This role requires strong hands-on expertise across frontend and backend engineering, with responsibility for delivering end-to-end solutions using modern web technologies, cloud-native services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate will bring strong engineering fundamentals, a product mindset, and the ability to independently solve complex technical problems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

## Key Responsibilities

* Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications across frontend UI, backend services, APIs, and databases.

* Develop solutions using React, TypeScript, Go, Java, Python, and Node.js.

* Build and enhance RESTful APIs, gRPC/Thrift integrations, microservices, and distributed systems.

* Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and code reviews.

* Drive engineering best practices across coding standards, automated testing, security, observability, and CI/CD.

* Develop and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests, including Cypress-based UI regression testing.

* Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve reliability, performance, and user experience.

* Contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment automation.

* Collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, and engineering teams.

* Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

* Communicate technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.

* Take ownership of complex technical initiatives from planning through delivery.

* Support development across distributed and cross-time-zone teams.

## Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

* 5+ years of hands-on, production-grade full-stack development experience.

* Strong frontend development experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, hooks, and reusable UI components.

* Backend development experience with Go, Java, Python, or Node.js.

* Experience building APIs, services, and integrations using REST, gRPC, Thrift, or similar technologies.

* Experience with Koa or similar backend frameworks.

* Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization.

* Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, or RDS.

* Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, or Redis.

* Hands-on AWS experience with services such as ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and CloudWatch.

* Experience with Docker, CI/CD, CircleCI, Terraform, and modern DevOps practices.

* Experience writing unit, integration, and UI tests using Jest, Cypress, or similar tools.

* Agile/Scrum delivery experience.

* Experience working with distributed, cross-time-zone teams.

* Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Gemini, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

* Proven ability to mentor engineers and promote technical excellence.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Elasticsearch for search, analytics, and large-scale data retrieval.

* Knowledge of Thrift or similar RPC frameworks.

* Experience working in monorepo environments and large-scale frontend codebases.

* Familiarity with Bazel build systems.

* Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

* Experience contributing to shared UI component libraries and enterprise design systems.

* Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka or AWS EventBridge.

* Experience in real estate technology, marketplace platforms, or customer-facing SaaS products.

## Education & Experience

**Required Education:**

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

**Required Experience:**

* 5+ years of production-grade full-stack software development experience.

* Experience with frontend and backend development, APIs, databases, AWS, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

* Experience collaborating within distributed Agile/Scrum teams.

**Preferred Experience:**

* Experience with Elasticsearch, RPC frameworks, monorepos, Bazel, event-driven architectures, shared UI libraries, or customer-facing SaaS platforms.
